Ers dros 16 o flynyddoedd, mae Haul wedi bod yn gweithio’n dawel ac yn gyson yn creu gweithiau celf, perfformiadau a digwyddiadau i godi calon cleifion, staff ac ymwelwyr mewn lleoliadau gofal iechyd yng Ngheredigion.
Grŵp celfyddydau gwirfoddol yw Haul, sydd wedi’i gyfansoddi’n llawn ac sy’n cynnwys artistiaid a chynrychiolwyr cyrff celfyddydau a diwylliannol a staff y GIG. Dros y 4 blynedd diwethaf mae cyllid oddi wrth Gyngor Celfyddydau Cymru wedi’n caniatáu ni i gyflogi hwylusydd celfyddydau rhan amser am un diwrnod yr wythnos. Mae’r holl gyllid arall yn dod gan gyrff cyllido eraill, gweithgareddau codi arian a rhoddion.
Yn ddiweddar mae Jill Piercy wedi ymgymryd â’r swydd hwylusydd celfyddydau gan fod Alice Briggs wedi’i phenodi’n guradur cynorthwyol yn amgueddfa Ceredigion. Llongyfarchiadau Alice!

Ein gweithgareddau
Rydym ni’n gweithio gyda llawer o grwpiau cymorth iechyd ac mewn canolfannau dydd drwy’r sir. Mae llawer o’n gweithgareddau’n digwydd yn Ysbyty Bronglais, gan gynnwys rhaglen o arddangosfeydd yn y ffreutur a chreu gweithiau celf parhaol megis mosaigau, murluniau a phaneli tecstilau, a pherfformiadau a digwyddiadau’n cynnwys cartwnyddion, beirdd, cerddorion ac actorion. Yn aml rydym ni’n creu prosiectau mewn ymateb i gais penodol gan staff yr ysbyty ac mae llawer o’r prosiectau’n cynnig cyfle i gleifion ac ymwelwyr gyfranogi mewn prosesau creadigol.

Welcome
For over 16 years, Haul has been working quietly and consistently creating artworks, performances and events to raise the spirits of patients, staff and visitors within healthcare settings in Ceredigion.
Haul is a fully constituted voluntary arts group that consists of artists and representatives of arts and cultural organisations and NHS staff. For the past 4 years funding from the Arts Council of Wales has allowed us to fund a part time arts facilitator for one day a week. All other funds come form other funding bodies, fundraising events and donations.
Jill Piercy has recently taken over the role of arts facilitator as Alice Briggs has been appointed as assistant curator at Ceredigion museum. Congratulations Alice!

Our activities
We work with many health support groups and in day centres throughout the county. Many of our activities take place in Bronglais Hospital and include a programme of exhibitions in the dining room and the creation of permanent artworks such as mosaics, murals and textile panels, and performances and events involving cartoonists, poets, musicians and actors. We often create projects in response to specific request from the hospital staff and many projects provide opportunities for patients and visitors to participate in creative
processes.
